Listeners are in for a treat as this morning’s broadcast begins with a black-and-white video of the station’s announcers, who play the words, “We want to hear from you.”WVUA’s website is dedicated to the station, which began life in 2015 as a local affiliate of the Washington, D.C.-based WVBA and is owned and operated by local TV station WVAU-TV.
The station was rebranded in 2016 to WVAA.
WVVAU was the first of its kind in the state, and has since become an international brand for its local programming.
