Vizio has announced a pair of speakers that it’s calling the Vizio K4 and K5, the latter of which will be available in early September.
The company says the K4 has a 5.8-inch 1080p touchscreen, a 5W stereo amplifier, and a 5MP front camera, while the K5 has a 6.2-inch 2K display with a 5X2.2mm, 8W stereo speaker.
Both of these devices come with Dolby Atmos support.
Vizio claims that they’re the first speaker designed specifically for the home theater market, and that they’ll offer a lot more than just audio and video content.
We’re not sure what the speakers can do, but it does seem like Vizio is trying to make a statement.
“With our innovative speakers, Vizio aims to deliver a compelling and immersive experience with a full range of audio and visual content,” said Tom Lee, vice president of product development at Vizio.
“By adding more audio and digital content, we will deliver more immersive entertainment experiences, enabling our customers to experience more and enjoy more of their entertainment.”
We’re hoping that Vizio’s K5 will offer more than a bit of entertainment, though.
We’ll let you know if the K6 will be a better speaker for the price.
